The EG4 12000XP V2 is a high-output all-in-one off-grid inverter delivering 12 kW-class split-phase 120/240V power. Combining the inverter, MPPT solar charging, and battery charging in a single wall-mounted unit, it is built for full-size off-grid homes and properties that need to run central air, well pumps, and shop equipment simultaneously — the V2 revision of EG4's proven 12000XP platform.

Why the 12000XP V2

  • 12 kW-class continuous split-phase 120/240V output — enough headroom that you rarely think about what's running
  • Integrated MPPT solar charging — no separate charge controller to buy, wire, or configure
  • Designed for 48V LiFePO4 banks with closed-loop communications for accurate state-of-charge
  • All-in-one wall-mounted chassis simplifies installation and reduces failure points
  • V2 revision of the 12000XP platform

Who it's for

Full-size off-grid homes and demanding properties. If your loads are cabin-scale, the EG4 6000XP costs less and pairs with the same batteries. For pre-matched systems, see our NEXUS + EG4 12000XP V2 kits (15–45 kWh) and ETHOS + EG4 12000XP V2 kits (15.36–30.72 kWh).

Common questions

Does it need solar to work?

No — it runs as an inverter/charger from the battery bank alone, and can charge from AC (grid or generator) when available. Solar panels are sold separately.

Do I need an electrician?

Mounting the unit is owner-level work, but tying 12 kW of split-phase output into a main panel — grounding, bonding, and code compliance — should be done by a licensed electrician and typically requires a permit.

How much battery should I put behind it?

Match storage to your daily consumption, not the inverter rating — a 12 kW inverter can empty a small bank fast. Most 12000XP systems pair with 30 kWh or more; see the NEXUS and ETHOS 12000XP kits for matched configurations.
