Product Description

The EG4 6000XP is an all-in-one off-grid inverter that combines a 6,000W split-phase inverter, dual MPPT solar charge controllers, and a battery charger in a single wall-mounted unit. It delivers 120/240V output for household appliances, well pumps, and workshop tools without a grid connection — and because the solar charging is built in, there's no separate charge controller to buy, wire, or configure.

Why the 6000XP

  • True split-phase 120/240V output — runs standard North American circuits, including 240V appliances
  • Up to 8,000W of solar input (8kPV) across dual MPPT channels — oversize your array for faster charging and better cloudy-day performance
  • Designed for 48V battery banks, with closed-loop communications for LiFePO4 batteries — accurate state-of-charge instead of voltage guesswork
  • All-in-one installation: inverter, solar charging, and AC charging in one wall-mounted chassis simplifies wiring and reduces failure points
  • Parallel-capable for growing systems

Who it's for

Cabins, tiny homes, homesteads, and backup installations with essential-to-moderate loads. If your property runs heavy simultaneous loads — central air, big well pump, shop equipment — step up to the EG4 12000XP V2. Pair the 6000XP with a 48V LiFePO4 bank such as the BigBattery NEXUS, ETHOS, or 48V HUSKY 2; matched kits are available in the store.

Common questions

Does it need solar to work?

No — it runs as an inverter/charger from the battery bank alone, and can charge from AC (grid or generator) when available. Solar panels are sold separately.

Do I need an electrician?

Mounting the unit is owner-level work, but tying its output into a distribution panel — grounding, bonding, and code compliance — should be done by a licensed electrician and typically requires a permit.

Which battery should I pair it with?

Any compatible 48V LiFePO4 bank. For a matched system with closed-loop communication pre-configured, see our NEXUS + EG4 6000XP and ETHOS + EG4 6000XP kits.
