Free standard shipping on every US order — no shipping charges at checkout, no hidden fees, and every shipment is insured against loss or damage.

Processing: 1–2 business days. Order before 12:00 PM EST and processing begins the same day.
Delivery: 4–7 business days via USPS, UPS or FedEx. Tracking is emailed the moment your order ships.
Large items (solar kits, batteries, shelters): delivered by LTL freight carriers such as FedEx Freight, Old Dominion or XPO. The carrier calls ahead to schedule a delivery window — please inspect the pallet and note any damage on the delivery receipt before signing, and we’ll take care of the rest.

What is your Return Policy?

At OffGrid Horizon, we want every customer to shop with confidence. If something doesn’t go as planned, we’ve made returns and refunds simple and fair. Here’s how it works:

1. Return Window

You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept returns after that time frame.

2. Who Pays for Return Shipping?

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we’ll cover the return shipping cost — and you’ll receive a full 100% refund or replacement, including any original shipping costs.
If you’re returning an item because you changed your mind, you’ll be responsible for return shipping, and a 25% restocking fee applies.

3. Damaged or Defective Items

Received something broken or not working properly? Contact us within 30 days. We’ll provide a prepaid return label and once the item is returned and inspected, we’ll issue either a full refund or a replacement.

4. Changed Your Mind?

If you no longer want the item, you can return it within 30 days — as long as it’s unused, unopened, in its original packaging, and in resellable condition.

5. Refund Processing

Once we receive and approve your return, we’ll send a confirmation email and issue a refund to your original payment method within 7 business days. Please allow additional time for banks or credit card companies to process and reflect the refund.

Product Description

The MF Fire Nova C Cast Iron Ash Lip is a cast iron shelf that bolts to the front of the Nova C firebox and catches the coals, bark, and ash that inevitably tumble forward when you load wood. It does two jobs: it keeps embers off your floor day to day, and — paired with the right legs — it can change what kind of hearth pad your installation requires.

Solid cast iron: a proper shelf, not stamped sheet metal, matched to the Nova C's front.
Two working depths: adjustable to sit at 4" or 6" of exposed shelf, depending on how much catch area you want.
Everything for the install: includes two spacer plates for the rear legs, four longer bolts, and two filler pieces used in the 6" position, per the MF Fire manual.
Cleaner loading: catches coals and bark before they hit the hearth, which matters most when reloading onto a hot coal bed.
Can simplify floor protection: per MF Fire, a Nova C on 6" legs with the ash lip installed needs only a Type 1 ember pad rather than an insulated hearth pad.

Why an Ash Lip Changes Your Hearth Pad

Floor protection requirements depend on the stove's leg height and whether the ash lip is fitted. Per MF Fire, a Nova C on 6" legs with this ash lip installed needs only a Type 1 ember pad — a much simpler and cheaper piece of floor protection than an insulated R-value pad. If you're planning an install on shorter legs, or you're weighing leg kits against hearth pad cost, call us before you buy the pad; the ash lip often pays for itself in what it saves on floor protection. Frequently Asked Questions

Does the ash lip fit the Nova 2X?

No. This part (AL002) fits the Nova C only. The Nova 2X uses the AL003 ash lip.

What's the difference between the 4" and 6" positions?

The exposed shelf depth. The 4" position keeps the stove's footprint tighter; the 6" position gives a larger catch area and uses the two included filler pieces. The spacer plates and longer bolts included in the kit handle the mounting.

Can I add it to a stove that's already installed?

Yes — it bolts to the front of the firebox. Confirm afterward that your floor protection still meets the requirements for your leg height and configuration; call us if you're unsure.

Does it replace a hearth pad?

No. It can reduce what the hearth pad has to be (for example, a Type 1 ember pad on 6" legs per MF Fire), but every installation still requires proper floor protection.
