Cold Weather, Explained
These batteries use low-temperature charge protection rather than heating. Below 32°F the BMS disconnects the charge circuit so cold cells are not damaged; charging resumes automatically once the battery warms to about 41°F, per Renogy. Discharge keeps working down to -4°F, so loads stay powered in the cold — you just cannot recharge until the battery warms. For recharging during sustained sub-freezing weather, Renogy's self-heating and DuoHeat models warm their own cells; this model does not.

In parallel, the pair delivers up to 400A combined, which feeds the Renogy REGO 3000W 12V inverter charger with LCD display at full output with headroom to spare. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add these to my existing battery bank? Renogy recommends banks built from identical batteries of similar age and state of charge. Do not mix with lead-acid or different lithium models.
Can I charge from my vehicle's alternator? Yes, through a DC-DC charger with a LiFePO4 profile, sized within 150A per battery. Do not wire directly to the alternator.
What charger profile should I use? A lithium (LiFePO4) profile within the battery's 10V to 14.8V operating range, per Renogy. Flooded or AGM lead-acid profiles may not charge these fully or correctly.
