The SGR-10K25S is a whole-home off-grid system for a property that has left the utility behind entirely, or wants to. A 10000W 48V split-phase inverter feeds 120V and 240V circuits from a 25.6kWh LiFePO4 bank, refilled by 6600W of monocrystalline solar. In practice that runs a full kitchen, a well pump, laundry, a home office and one or two mini-splits, and still holds enough reserve to carry a cloudy day. It is also a sensible fit for a small workshop, a farm outbuilding or a rural clinic.

Is this the right size for you?
Sungold publishes an estimate of up to 25.6kWh per day from this configuration with only four hours of usable sunlight. Treat that as a ceiling for a good day in a good location, not an average. Your real figure depends on latitude, roof pitch, orientation, shading and season, and winter output in a northern climate will be a fraction of a June figure.
This is the right size if you are running a normal family home off-grid where the large loads are a well pump, refrigeration, laundry, a couple of mini-splits and ordinary household electronics, or a small commercial space with a comparable profile.
Size up if your property has an electric range plus electric water heating plus central air conditioning, if you charge an electric vehicle, or if you run shop equipment for hours at a stretch. Also size up if you have long overcast stretches in winter — storage, not array size, is what carries you through those, and 25.6kWh disappears quickly when the sun does not return for three days. Size down if this is a cabin, a guest house or a seasonal property. An 8kW kit will do that job with less capital tied up in storage you rarely draw on.
One structural point worth knowing: this SKU is the 25.6kWh SG48100P configuration. Sungold builds the same 10kW inverter and 6600W array around several different battery banks, listed in the specifications below, so if your storage need is materially larger or smaller than 25.6kWh, ask us before ordering rather than buying this one and adding to it later.

SG48100P batteries (5 supplied): 10-year manufacturer warranty. Rated for ≥ 7,000 deep cycles and designed for up to a 15-year service life, per Sungold's SG48100P listing. UL 1973 / UL 9540A listed.

550W solar panels (12 supplied): 12-year materials and workmanship warranty, plus a staged power-output warranty — 95% of rated output after 5 years, 90% after 10 years, 80% after 25 years. UL 61730, CEC listed.

10000W inverter: covered by Sungold Power's manufacturer warranty under their official Warranty & Return policy (12–36 months depending on product; Sungold does not publish a model-specific term on the inverter's listing). Products that fail within the first 30 days are replaced at no cost.
Sungold's warranty applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. On top of that, OffGrid Horizon's 30-day return policy applies: damaged, defective or incorrect items get a prepaid return label and a full refund or replacement.
Wiring and installation
Sungold does not publish a wiring diagram PDF for this kit the way it does for some others in the range. The wiring diagram for the SGR-10K25S is available on request — contact us and we will obtain the current sheet from the manufacturer. We would rather do that than point you at a document we cannot verify.

The AC side of this installation is work for a licensed electrician. A 10kW split-phase inverter tying into a distribution panel, along with grounding, bonding and code compliance, is not a do-it-yourself job, and in most jurisdictions it must be permitted and inspected. Plenty of owners rack their own panels and assemble the DC side, then bring in an electrician for the interconnection and commissioning. Send these PDFs to your electrician before you order — reviewing the whole system on paper first is how you avoid discovering a problem with pallets already in the driveway.

Ordering and delivery
This kit ships freight on pallets. Twelve 550W panels, five rack batteries, a cabinet and a 10kW inverter are well beyond parcel carriers, and the freight company will call to arrange a delivery window. Delivery is kerbside: the driver brings the pallets to the end of the driveway or the edge of the property and stops there. Arrange in advance how you will move them and have help on hand.
Inspect the pallets before you sign. Check for crushed corners, torn shrink wrap, cracked panel glass and dented battery or inverter casings. Note any damage on the delivery paperwork before you sign, and photograph it while the driver is still there. Signing a clean receipt makes a freight claim very hard to pursue later. Tell us as soon as you spot a problem and we will work the claim with you.
Common questions
Can I install this myself?
Partly. Mounting panels, placing batteries in the cabinet and running DC cable are within reach of a competent person working from the manuals. The AC side is not: connecting a 10kW split-phase inverter to a distribution panel, plus grounding, bonding and code compliance, requires a licensed electrician and usually a permit and inspection.
What else do I need to buy?
The kit covers array, storage, cabinet, inverter, breakers, Z-brackets and the main cable runs. It does not include mounting rails or ground-mount structure, conduit, a distribution panel or subpanel, AC-side wire, or the grounding electrode system. Your electrician will produce that list once they have reviewed the component manuals above.
Will it run my whole house?
For most homes where heating and cooking are not electric, yes. For a house with an electric range, electric water heating and central air conditioning running together, no — those loads exceed what a 6600W array can replace day to day. The deciding factor is your consumption, so work from a year of utility bills.
What happens in a power outage?
This is an off-grid system, not a grid-tied one. Circuits fed by the inverter draw from battery and solar and are unaffected by a utility outage. If you also want the ability to charge from utility power or a generator during long overcast periods, raise that with your electrician early, because it changes how the AC input and panel are wired.
How do these batteries behave in cold weather?
LiFePO4 loses usable capacity in the cold, and charging a cold cell damages it. The SG48100P batteries supplied here should live somewhere kept above freezing. If your site cannot provide that, Sungold builds the same kit around SGH48100T self-heating batteries instead — tell us your climate and we will point you at the right configuration.
