Product Description

The Airpura G700 DLX is the large-space configuration of the odor-free G family: 26 lb of German-sourced carbon in a 3 in deep bed, a 635 CFM fan rated for up to 2,500 sq ft per Airpura, and a HEPA barrier particle stage. Like the rest of the G series it is designed with the chemically sensitive (MCS) in mind, per Airpura — all-metal housing that emits no plastic vapors, felt gaskets instead of rubber, the motor outside the airflow and electricals in a sealed chamber. OffGrid Horizon is a family-owned authorized Airpura dealer serving the US.

Who It's For

  • Open floor plans and larger homes up to about 2,500 sq ft with chemical odor concerns
  • Buyers who want the G series' largest carbon bed and strongest airflow together
  • People sensitive to the odor standard carbon or plastic-housed purifiers can give off
  • Spaces with ongoing VOC sources — new finishes, furnishings, attached garages, cleaning products

Key Features

  • 26 lb odor-free German-sourced activated carbon in a 3 in deep bed (570 sq in), per Airpura
  • 635 CFM free flow (450 CFM with filters installed), per Airpura
  • HEPA barrier filter (306 sq in) captures 95% of airborne particles 1 micron and larger, per Airpura
  • All-metal housing emits no plastic vapors; felt gaskets instead of rubber to avoid off-gassing, per Airpura
  • Motor outside the airflow; electrical components in a sealed chamber, per Airpura
  • Vacuumable poly prefilter; variable speed; no ozone emissions; about $0.27 per day on medium 24/7, per Airpura

How the Filtration Works

  1. Poly prefilter. A vacuumable first stage (570 sq in) catches dust and larger particles before the carbon.
  2. 26 lb odor-free carbon bed. The 3 in deep German-sourced carbon bed gives air extended dwell time for adsorbing chemical odors and VOCs — from vinyl, carpets, paints, fuels, ammonia and pesticides, per Airpura — without adding any carbon smell of its own.
  3. HEPA barrier filter. A final stage captures 95% of particles down to 1 micron before air returns through the top outlet.

G600 vs G600 DLX vs G614 vs G700 DLX

All four use odor-free German-sourced carbon in the same all-metal, felt-gasketed housing design. The G700 DLX pairs the family's largest carbon bed with its strongest fan.

Model Carbon Particle stage Airflow / Coverage
G600 18 lb True HEPA, 99.97% at 0.3 micron 560 CFM / 2,000 sq ft
G600 DLX 26 lb HEPA barrier, 95% at 1 micron 560 CFM / 2,000 sq ft
G614 18 lb Super HEPA H14, 99.99% at 0.3 micron 560 CFM / 2,000 sq ft
G700 DLX (this unit) 26 lb HEPA barrier, 95% at 1 micron 635 CFM / 2,500 sq ft

Filter Replacements

Per Airpura: poly prefilter about every 12 months (vacuumable in between), carbon about every 24 months, HEPA barrier about every 12 months. The G700 DLX shares the 600/700-series filter platform: see the G-series replacement filter bundle and the poly prefilter pack for the 600/700 series.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the G700 DLX differ from the G600 DLX?

Same 26 lb odor-free carbon configuration and HEPA barrier; the G700 DLX adds the stronger 635 CFM fan and 2,500 sq ft coverage rating versus 560 CFM and 2,000 sq ft on the G600 DLX, per Airpura.

Why a HEPA barrier instead of a True HEPA?

The DLX configurations trade the finer 0.3 micron HEPA stage for a larger carbon bed, per Airpura — the emphasis is gas and odor adsorption. If 0.3 micron capture matters more to you, look at the G614.

Does the unit itself give off any odor?

Per Airpura, no: the German-sourced carbon is selected for having no odor, the housing is all metal so no plastic vapors are emitted, and the gaskets are felt rather than rubber.

Will it help my chemical sensitivity?

We can't make health or treatment claims — this is not a medical device. Airpura's published position is that the G series is designed with the chemically sensitive in mind through odor-free carbon and inert materials. Talk with your clinician about your situation; call us for the engineering details.

What does it cost to run continuously?

About $0.27 per day on medium speed running 24/7, per Airpura — it draws 40 W on low and 120 W on high at 115V.

How often do filters need replacing?

Per Airpura: poly prefilter about every 12 months, carbon about every 24 months, HEPA barrier about every 12 months. Vacuuming the prefilter between changes helps everything downstream last.
