Delivery: 4–7 business days via USPS, UPS or FedEx. Tracking is emailed the moment your order ships.
Large items (solar kits, batteries, shelters): delivered by LTL freight carriers such as FedEx Freight, Old Dominion or XPO. The carrier calls ahead to schedule a delivery window — please inspect the pallet and note any damage on the delivery receipt before signing, and we’ll take care of the rest.

What is your Return Policy?

At OffGrid Horizon, we want every customer to shop with confidence. If something doesn’t go as planned, we’ve made returns and refunds simple and fair. Here’s how it works:

1. Return Window

You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept returns after that time frame.

2. Who Pays for Return Shipping?

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we’ll cover the return shipping cost — and you’ll receive a full 100% refund or replacement, including any original shipping costs.
If you’re returning an item because you changed your mind, you’ll be responsible for return shipping, and a 25% restocking fee applies.

3. Damaged or Defective Items

Received something broken or not working properly? Contact us within 30 days. We’ll provide a prepaid return label and once the item is returned and inspected, we’ll issue either a full refund or a replacement.

4. Changed Your Mind?

If you no longer want the item, you can return it within 30 days — as long as it’s unused, unopened, in its original packaging, and in resellable condition.

5. Refund Processing

Once we receive and approve your return, we’ll send a confirmation email and issue a refund to your original payment method within 7 business days. Please allow additional time for banks or credit card companies to process and reflect the refund.

This 2-pack of Renogy 400W Lightweight Portable Solar Suitcases (RSP400LSC) gives you 800 watts of fold-out solar that stores flat and deploys in minutes, no roof drilling required. Each suitcase folds to 27.9 x 33.7 x 3.2 inches, weighs 30.2 lb, and stands on its own aluminum kickstands, so you can park in the shade and set the panels in the sun.

Who This Kit Is For

Ground-deploy solar suits RVers and campers who prefer shaded parking, renters and cabin owners who cannot make permanent roof penetrations, and anyone who wants supplemental charging capacity they can pack away. Note what this is not: there is no charge controller in the box, so these panels connect to an existing MPPT controller, a DC-DC charger with solar input, or a solar generator that accepts their voltage. If you want a single-panel setup, we also carry these individually; this listing is for two suitcases (800W combined).

What Will It Run?

Panels produce energy; what they "run" depends on your battery bank and inverter. Using conservative assumptions (4 peak sun hours, 25% derate for angle, temperature, and wiring):

Daily harvest: 800W x 4 h x 0.75 = roughly 2,400Wh per day. In summer with careful re-aiming you may see more; winter or overcast days will be less.
What 2,400Wh covers: a 12V compressor fridge (about 45W average, roughly 1,100Wh/day) + LED lighting (50Wh) + two laptop charges (about 150Wh) + phones, fans, and a diesel heater controller (about 300Wh) totals roughly 1,600Wh, leaving margin for cloudy stretches.
Battery pairing: one day of that harvest roughly fills a 12V 200Ah bank from half charge (2,400Wh / 12.8V = about 187Ah).

These are estimates with stated assumptions, not guarantees; solar output varies by season, latitude, and weather.

Shipping

Ships within the United States. The two suitcases (30.2 lb each) may arrive as separate parcels on different days. Inspect panels on arrival and note any carrier damage on delivery; call us at (302) 496-3554 with any delivery questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a charge controller included?

No. Pair these panels with an MPPT charge controller rated for their voltage. Each suitcase has a 47.2V open-circuit voltage, so the controller's max PV input must be comfortably above that, and above 94.4V if you wire the two in series.

Should I wire the two suitcases in series or parallel?

Parallel keeps voltage at 47.2V Voc and doubles current to 20A Imp, which fits most 100V-class MPPT controllers. Series doubles voltage (94.4V Voc) and suits controllers with higher input limits; remember cold weather pushes Voc higher, so leave headroom.

Which battery should I pair with these?

For a weekend rig, the Renogy Pro S1 12V 240Ah LiFePO4 stores about 3,000Wh, or a bit more than one sunny day of harvest from this pair. For bigger reserves or winter use, the Renogy Core 12V 300Ah self-heating LiFePO4 adds cold-weather charging protection.

Can I use them with a solar generator or power station?

Often yes, if the power station's solar input accepts at least 47.2V and the connector type matches. Check your unit's max PV input voltage before connecting; two in series exceeds many power stations' limits.

Can I mount these on a roof permanently?

They are designed as portable ground-deploy panels with kickstands, not as permanently mounted modules. For a roof install, rigid framed panels are the better tool; see our Renogy collection for roof-mount kits.

Will they survive rain?

The panels carry an IP67 protection rating with IP68 connectors per Renogy. As with any portable panel, lay them flat or pack them up in high wind.

Can I add more panels later?

Yes, up to whatever your charge controller supports. Size the controller first, then grow the array toward its published input ceiling.
