Renogy 200W ShadowFlux anti-shading N-Type solar panel, 4 pack

Product Description

This four-pack of Renogy ShadowFlux 200W N-Type panels builds an 800-watt array designed for the real world of RV roofs and boat decks — where vent covers, antennas, and tree lines throw shade across your panels every day. ShadowFlux cell-level shadow management keeps the unshaded cells producing instead of letting one blocked cell drag down the panel, delivering up to 85% more output in partial shade than traditional panels, per Renogy.

Who This Pack Is For

Built for RVers who park where the trees are, sailors and trawler owners dealing with rigging shadows, and rooftop installs crowded with ACs and vents. If past arrays have disappointed you the moment shade touched them, this is the panel technology aimed at that exact problem.

Key Features

  • 800W combined output: four 200W panels rated at standard test conditions, per Renogy.
  • ShadowFlux anti-shading technology: cell-level shadow management delivers up to 85% more output in partial shade than traditional panels, per Renogy.
  • N-Type cells: 25% cell efficiency and 20.7% module efficiency, per Renogy.
  • Compact high density: each panel is 49.69 x 30.08 x 1.18 in — about 10.4 sq ft per 200W.
  • Built tough: anodized aluminum alloy frame; rated for 113 psf (5400 Pa) snow and 50 psf (2400 Pa) wind loads, per Renogy.
  • IP67 junction box: with 14 AWG, 23.6 in output cables and solar connectors.
  • 12V/24V system ready: works with standard MPPT charge controllers; 1000VDC max system voltage, 15A max series fuse.

Why Renogy

Renogy has designed DIY-friendly off-grid equipment since 2010, with roots at Louisiana State University and the Louisiana Business and Technology Center. ShadowFlux is Renogy's own anti-shading cell technology, documented in the published datasheet alongside the rest of its panel, battery, and controller lineup.

Sizing & System Fit

Four panels need about 42 sq ft of roof space — workable on most mid-size RV roofs. On a 12V battery bank, 800W means up to roughly 55A of charge current, so a 60A-class MPPT controller is the right match — the same class used in the Renogy 800W solar kit with REGO 60A MPPT controller. On 24V, about 28A puts you in 30-40A controller territory. Wired 2S2P, the array runs about 73V open-circuit at 12.8A operating current. For storage, a Renogy Pro S1 12V 240Ah LiFePO4 battery absorbs a full day of production with capacity to spare.

Warranty & Support

Renogy covers these panels with a 5-year material and workmanship warranty and a 25-year power output warranty (80% of rated output, per Renogy). OffGrid Horizon is a family-owned authorized Renogy dealer, so manufacturer coverage fully applies. Talk to us at (302) 496-3554.

Shipping

Four-panel orders may ship palletized via LTL freight or as multiple ground parcels depending on the carrier. Either way, inspect each panel for damage before signing or accepting delivery, and note any issues with the driver to protect your claim.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is ShadowFlux different from bypass diodes?

Conventional panels use a few bypass diodes that shut down whole sections when shade hits. ShadowFlux manages shading at the cell level, so unshaded cells keep contributing. Renogy states the result is up to 85% more output in partial shade than traditional panels.

Does anti-shading mean shade doesn't matter?

No — shaded cells still produce less. ShadowFlux limits the collateral damage a shadow does to the rest of the panel. Full sun still produces the most power, so mount panels as clear of obstructions as your roof allows.

What charge controller should I use for the 4-pack?

On 12V, a 60A MPPT controller handles the full 800W. On 24V, 30-40A works. With a Voc of 36.5V per panel, check your controller's PV input limit when stringing panels in series — two in series is 73V, four is 146V, before cold-weather rise.

Can I mount these flat on my RV roof?

Yes — they're rigid framed panels compatible with standard Z-brackets, tilt mounts, and rail systems. Tilting toward the sun increases output, but flat mounting is the common RV choice and works fine.

Will these work with my existing controller?

If it's an MPPT controller with capacity for 800W at your battery voltage and PV input headroom for your string voltage, yes — Renogy states compatibility with standard MPPT controllers on 12V and 24V systems.

Can I mix ShadowFlux panels with my old panels?

Keep them on separate controller inputs. Different electrical specs in one string or parallel group waste the output you paid for — and mixing would blunt the anti-shading benefit these are built for.
