Product Description

This Renogy 800W 12V complete kit packages generation, storage, and AC power in one order: four 200W 16BB N-type solar panels, a Rover 60A MPPT charge controller, three 12V 100Ah Core Mini lithium batteries with self-heating function, and a 3000W 12V pure sine wave inverter, along with fusing, cabling, mounting Z brackets, and a BT-2 Bluetooth module. OffGrid Horizon is a family-owned authorized Renogy dealer serving the US market.

Who This Kit Is For

Built for cabins, RVs, vans, and remote setups that need dependable 120V AC power for essentials — a fridge, lights, router, laptops, and small appliances — per Renogy's intended-use description. The self-heating batteries make it a practical choice for buyers in cold climates who need to charge below freezing. It suits DIYers comfortable wiring a 12V system from a diagram; every major electrical connection component is included.

Key Features

  • 800W solar array: four 200W 16BB N-type monocrystalline panels, 20.7% module efficiency per Renogy, in a compact 49.7 x 30.1 in footprint each.
  • 3.6kWh LiFePO4 storage: three 12V 100Ah Core Mini self-heating batteries rated 5,000 cycles (80% DOD), per Renogy.
  • Self-heating for winter charging: per Renogy, dual heating pads activate automatically below 41°F, extending the charging range to -22°F to 131°F.
  • Rover 60A MPPT charge controller with LCD: 99% tracking efficiency and up to 98% peak conversion efficiency, per Renogy. The 800W array uses the controller's full 12V input rating.
  • 3000W 12V pure sine wave inverter: 120V/60Hz output with 6,000W surge, per Renogy — clean power for electronics and most tool motors.
  • Protection and monitoring included: in-line fuse holders, 60A and 400A ANL fuse sets, and a BT-2 Bluetooth module for app monitoring of the controller.

Why Renogy

Renogy has specialized in off-grid solar since 2010, and its complete kits pair components that are specified to work together — controller sized to the array, cabling and fuses sized to the loads. As an authorized dealer, OffGrid Horizon supplies genuine Renogy equipment backed by Renogy's per-component warranties.

What Will It Run?

Stated assumptions: estimates assume 4.5 peak sun hours per day (mid-range US annual average; regional values roughly 3.5 to 5.5) and 25% combined system losses. Appliance wattages are typical estimates — check nameplates.

  • Estimated daily solar harvest: 800W x 4.5 h x 0.75 ≈ 2.7kWh per day under those assumptions.
  • Usable storage: roughly 2.9kWh at 80% depth of discharge — about a day of reserve at the harvest estimate.
  • Example daily load set (~2.2kWh): a 12V or compact fridge (~0.9kWh/day), LED lights (~0.2kWh), router and laptop (~0.5kWh), water pump and phone charging (~0.2kWh), TV or fan a few hours (~0.4kWh).
  • Heavy loads drain fast: the inverter can run a 1,500W appliance, but at that draw the full bank supplies only about 1.5 hours (3.6kWh x 0.8 ÷ 1.5kW, before inverter losses). Plan high-wattage use in short bursts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add more panels later?
Not on a 12V battery bank — the included 800W array already reaches the Rover 60A's 800W maximum PV input at 12V, per Renogy. The controller supports 1,600W at 24V, but this kit's bank and inverter are configured for 12V.

Do the batteries really charge below freezing?
Per Renogy, each battery's dual 110W heating pads switch on automatically below 41°F and off at 50°F, allowing charging from -22°F to 131°F. Heating draws from the charge source, so expect slower net charging in deep cold.

Do the batteries have Bluetooth?
No — per Renogy, the Core Mini line does not include built-in Bluetooth. The included BT-2 module provides app monitoring of the charge controller; a shunt-based battery monitor can be added separately.

Will the inverter start my power tools or microwave?
The 3,000W continuous / 6,000W surge rating per Renogy covers most household microwaves and common tool motors. Check your appliance's startup draw — items with large compressors or motors can exceed surge ratings.

Is mounting hardware included?
Z brackets for flat-surface mounting are included. Tilt or pole mounts are separate purchases.

Can I grow the battery bank?
Renogy supports paralleling matching batteries; if you expect much larger storage needs, it's cleaner to start with bigger building blocks, such as the Renogy Core 12V 300Ah self-heating battery. Call us and we'll map it out.
