7.2 Defective or Damaged Goods. Notification: Report the problem within 30 days of delivery. Documentation: Provide photos or videos of the defect or damage. Resolution: We send a prepaid return label (or arrange freight pickup for large items). Product Description

The Airpura UV600 is a whole-room air purifier that combines three filter stages — a poly prefilter, an 18 lb activated carbon bed, and a 40 sq ft True HEPA filter rated to capture 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 microns and larger — with a 16–18 watt UVC germicidal lamp mounted inside the filter chamber. Built on Airpura's 600-series chassis with a powder-coated steel housing, 360° air intake, and casters, it moves up to 560 CFM and is rated by Airpura for spaces up to 2,000 sq ft.

How the Filtration Works

Stage 1 — Poly prefilter. The intake prefilter traps larger dust, lint, and pet hair before they reach the inner filters. It can be vacuumed through the intake grill between replacements.

Stage 2 — Activated carbon. Air then passes through 18 lb of coconut-shell activated carbon, which adsorbs odor, VOC, and gas molecules that particle filters cannot capture.

UV600 vs UV614 vs UV700 vs UV714

All four Airpura UV models share the same layout: prefilter, 18 lb carbon bed, HEPA filter, and an internal UVC lamp. The differences are chassis and filter grade. The UV600 (this model) uses the 600-series chassis — 560 CFM, rated 2,000 sq ft — with a True HEPA filter. What does the UV lamp actually do?

Airpura states that the 16–18 W UVC germicidal lamp "provides an added level of protection against pathogens trapped on the HEPA." We repeat only Airpura's published description — the lamp supplements the HEPA and carbon stages rather than replacing them.

What does it cost to run 24/7?

Example math: on high the UV600 draws 120 W, so 24 hours uses about 2.9 kWh. At $0.17 per kWh that is roughly $0.49 per day, or about $15 per month. On low (40 W) it is about $0.16 per day. Your local electricity rate will change these figures.

Is it quiet enough to run at night?

Airpura publishes 28.1 dB on low measured at 6 ft, rising to 62.3 dB on high at the full 560 CFM. A common pattern is running high while the room is unoccupied and dropping to low overnight.

How often do the filters need replacing?

Per Airpura: vacuum the prefilter regularly and replace it about every 12 months, replace the carbon bed about every 24 months, the HEPA filter every 3–5 years, and the UV lamp every 18–24 months.

Does it run on US household power?

Yes. The UV600 runs on standard 115V outlets with a regular plug — no special wiring needed.

Can I upgrade the filter later?

Yes. Airpura offers a Super HEPA 14 filter (99.99% at 0.3 microns) that fits the 600-series chassis, so a UV600 can be stepped up at replacement time — or you can start with the UV614, which includes it from the factory.
